Summer Holidays

 Hello everyone, I hope you are spending the end of the semester as well as possible <3 :(

Today I am going to talk about what my summer vacation is usually like.


About my summer vacations, they are generally in the months of January or February when my parents ask for vacations and the destination is always the south of Chile, specifically the town of Lican Ray.

Well, Lican Ray can be considered a very small town so it is easy for it to get crowded, however, since 2013, when I started going, the number of people who knew the town and chose it as their destination of holidays. Before the Covid, this town was completely filled with people in the summer (during the three months of vacations), so it was not even possible to walk down the sidewalk to go shopping.

This year I went in February, with the Covid pandemic present, and it was filled with the same number of people but many of the families stayed in the houses and did not go to the lake. The other families did go to the lake and a lot of chaos was formed, since those who arrived earlier did respect social distancing but those who arrived later did not.

Despite this, I was able to enjoy my vacation very well this year. The temperature of the water, the climate, the green landscapes, the tranquility of going out to the square to buy a churro or some French fries are some of the things that I enjoy the most.

Well, about the photos of the flowers, they are hortencias, which can be seen everywhere in Lican Ray, so it is very characteristic of this town.

I hope I can go again this year, and that it is less complicated in terms of Covid.

My future job

Hi everyone, I’m going to talk about the job I wish I had upon leaving college. Since I started my major, I’ve been thinking about working in the Ministerio de Educación, which it’s my first option. I would like to work improving the quality of public education. I imagine a more interactive job with the kids and young people that study and hear directly the changes they want to see made. If I don’t work there, I would like to work in Municipalidad de Quilicura, what is where I live because I would like to see and carry important changes in my place. I hope my future job will be more outside of an office than inside because I like to share a lot with people and interact directly with them to learn about the policies that they want to be carried out. I wouldn’t like to travel in my job because I like Chile and the changes that I want to make are here. Blog 6: How can your major make the world a better place

The major of Public Administration work in the State, with the politic and administration. It’s really important to the organization of the humans because everything works around that. In my opinion, today people don’t care so much about how the society relate with the State, and its public services. Public Administration try to approach to citizen to the State, for a better operation of the country. That’s why this major its so important, maybe not today, but in the future will have more importance. I can see myself in this process like an important actor, like a leader of a group of people that work to bring better and efficient results. I would work only in my country; I don’t like the idea of travel around the world and don’t do anything for mine. So, I think I have really good ideas to give my country, and I hope to carry them out when I finish my major.

Blog 2: why did i choose my major?

Hi teacher, In my childhood my biggest dream was to be a famous periodist, show the news and that all people love me. In the last grade of the high school i did’t know what to study, i was between Law and Politic Science but neither of them convince me at all, and the days after doing the PSU test i discovered the study program of Public Administration. I decided to applying this major because we study a bit of all the topics, like Maths, Politic Science, management and research. I think that it’s a way to finally work in the government and that is what i will like to do in the future. The experiencie in the ‘online university’ it’s a kinda weird, because i don’t know my classmates and teacher but i’m happy studying this. Regards.
